What is Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy?

 

Pelvic floor physiotherapy is a specialized area in the field, and trained therapists perform both internal and external exams to evaluate the function of the pelvic floor. This includes a vaginal and/or rectal examination whereby the therapist can fully understand the function of the muscles, nerves, and organs that are causing problems.
